MTCC CEO Inspects National Public Ferry Network Project And Gulhifalhu Reclamation Works

 
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) ‘s CEO, Adam Azim was accompanied by Minister of National Planning and Infrastructure, Mohamed Aslam, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Aishath Nahula, Minister at the Presidents Office, Ali Shiyam and other senior officials to the inspection of 17 speedboats that are built under the Integrated National Public Ferry Network Project at Gulf Craft. 

The National Public Ferry Network Project will introduce reliable, efficient, affordable, convenient, and sustainable passenger ferry service to the clients of MTCC. These speedboats will be larger in size, will run at thrice the normal ferry speeds and can accommodate up to 50 passengers at a time. 

Along with this, the MTCC CEO, Adam Azim and MTCC officials also inspected the progress of their on-going Gulhifalhu Reclamation – Additional Works Project valued to a total of MVR 8.94 million. The project includes reclamation of an initial quantity of 80,000cbm and construction of a 380m temporary shore protection structure.
