Can this Newsletter Turn the Heads of French Tourists Towards Maldives Again?

As of recent. local media agencies have reported the launch of several marketing campaigns instigated by the government mandated body marketing Maldives as a tourist destination worldwide; Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) in order to regain our destination presence in the industry. In this regard, MMPRC is pleased to add another campaign to their list; this time it being targeted towards the French tourist market.

Accordingly, a B2C campaign has been launched in France in collaboration with the French tour operator, VeryChic; a well-established leader in the e-travel market of France. As part of the campaign, a newsletter based on the perks of Maldives as a long haul travel destination will be dispatched to 500,000 addresses listed in the VeryChic’s database.

To garner attention of potential French on-comers, thrilling experiences one could have here will be highlighted in the newsletter. Further to this, Maldives will prove themselves as a safe haven amidst of the health hazard the world is facing at present owing to the geographical dispersed islands separating its people to small communities and also having received a ‘Safe Travel Stamp’ granted by World Travel and Tourism Council, if one is still in doubt.

Statistics from 2019 ranks France in the 07th position of the highest performing tourist markets in Maldives making it a key focus target in the recovery of the tourism sector. Effective of 14th October, a total of 991 French nationals have arrived in Maldives since the travel ban was lifted on July.
