Whilst visiting Th.Gaadhifushi, MTCC CEO & Officials met with the island council and inspected the islands ongoing Water Supply & Sewerage Project by MTCC. Scope of works for the project include; construction of an administrative building, RO plant building, gravity sewer network, water network, brine and sewer outfall.
MTCC CEO & Officials then visited Th.Guraidhoo, meeting with the council members of the island along with inspecting the new harbor that is currently under works by MTCC. Valued to a total of MVR 46.01 million, Guraidhoo Harbor Development Project concludes dredging and excavation operations of 24,485cbm, construction of a 325m breakwater, a 185m quay wall, a 22m revetment and 1,875sqm of paved area.
Furthermore, the team then visited neighboring island Th.Madifushi where the team was greeted by the island council. The completed Harbor Development Project on September 2019 of Madifushi was inspected by CEO & Team of MTCC. This project valued to a total of MVR 52.96 million and the work included approximately 19.808 cubic meters of material from the existing basin were dredged and around 402 cubic meters were removed from the inner channel. Additionally, the project included construction of a 256-meter breakwater, a 20-meter revetment and a 357 meter quay wall block installation. Alongside this, the Madifushi Harbor scheme involved construction of 1010 square meters of harbor pavement, installation of two beacons, and the supply and fixing of mooring rings.
