MIRA Will Refund Unused Revenue Stamps Until November 15th

Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) will refund the unused revenue stamps for the citizens who requests it as per an announcement made on 15th August. 
 
The revenue stamps were sold by the government since 1970 in order to generate income for the government. However, even though it worked then, the income is not enough as per the Parliament. Hence, the bill was passed in the parliament to stop the selling of revenue stamps from MIRA. 
 
With the new bill in place, MIRA is refunding the unused revenue stamps. In order to claim the refund, please fill in the refund form available from MIRA before November 15th this year.
