Maldives’ Boy Genius, Rayan Abdul Wahid Visits Police Forensic Lab

Proud moment for the parents of little Rayan when he scored A* in Chemistry in the IGCSE, at just 10 years old. Rayan, who studies in grade 5 in Huravee School, developed an compelling interest for the subject of Chemistry ever since an early age as per his mother, who happens to be a chemistry teacher herself. 

Rayan would read the chemistry books his mother had as a teacher, and would always show keen interest in learning further. The IGCSE examination was taken to test his capability and the results came as a surprise for his family and for the nation. 

Greatly appreciating the accomplishment and wishing him the best success in the future, Maldives Police Service allowed Rayan to visit their Forensic Laboratory where he got to experience and see the experiments first hand. In addition to getting an exclusive tour of the lab, he got to ‘work’ with the forensic experts.
