With BML’s Funding, Classroom for B-Tech Students in Gemanafushi Has Been Completed

With the help of BML’s Community Fund, the classroom for B-Tech students was established by the Maldivian Fishermans Community in Gemanafushi Island. The purpose of this classroom is to teach students the knowledge and experiences of Hospitality Industrial Work.

To gain experience first-hand for the students in Hospitality, the students will be taught customer services, cooking lessons as well as techniques to make and prepare beds, cleaning and maintenance of different set-ups. Speaking about the importance of learning the work physically, the President of the Maldivian Fishermens Community, Ahmed Shafiu highlighted the benefits the students will get out of this classroom in place.

He also mentioned the difficulities the students had to endure for the Hospitality sector without physical training previously before the classroom was established. Now, the students will be going in with enough experience and confidence to strive excellence in working nature.
