Maldives Transport and Contracting Company’s CEO, Adam Azim and his team made briefings with three island’s councils regarding three of their on-going harbor development projects.
The first meeting and visiting went with members of Adh.Maandhoo Island Council to discuss the islands Harbor Development Project valued to MVR 32.38 million. To be completed by September 2021, the scope of the works includes; dredging and operations of 19,630cbm, the construction of a 136m quay wall, a 31m breakwater, a 138.73m jetty, the installation of streetlights and construction of 580sqm of paved area.
MTCC CEO and Team then visited Aa.Maalhos Island Council and briefed them regarding their on-going Harbor Development Project of the island valued to MVR 56.97 million. Scope of works for the project include dredging and excavation operations of 24,335cbm, the construction of a 394m quay wall, a 407m breakwater, a 56m groyne and a 100m revetment, the installation of navigation lights, installation of streetlights and construction of 1,970sqm of paved area.
Lastly, MTCC CEO and Team visited with the members of Aa.Ukulhas Island Council to brief them on the on-going project of the island, Harbor Quay Wall & Jetty Construction Project valued to MVR 19.9 million. The scope of the project includes, dredging and excavation operations of 19,630cbm, construction of a 31m breakwater, a 136m quay wall, a 138.73m jetty and installation of 580sqm harbor pavement.
