Ambassadors of South Korea, Vietnam and Cuba presents credentials to the President

The President welcomed the Ambassador of Vietnam to the Maldives and complimented her on the start of her service. He added that the two nations would be celebrating their 46th year of diplomatic ties this year, and that both the Maldives and Vietnam had achieved significant progress in this cooperation. President Solih conveyed his well wishes to Ambassador Jeon Woonjin. The Ambassador reaffirmed Vietnam's commitment to continuing its position as a friend and partner to the Maldives, emphasizing that Vietnam is ready to help and assist the Maldives in every manner necessary. 

Following the credentials ceremony, President Solih congratulated the new Ambassador on the start of his tenure and thanked the Republic of Korea for their support of the Maldives' candidacy during the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) elections earlier this year. President Solih sent his warmest greetings to Ambassador Jeon Woonjin. Both the President and the Ambassador pledged to collaborate to enhance bilateral relations between the Maldives and South Korea. 

President Solih greeted Cuba's Ambassador to the Maldives and congratulated him on the start of his tenure. The President praised the Ambassador for Cuba's substantial contribution to the Maldives' health and higher education sectors. Both parties discussed how to enhance scholarship possibilities for Maldivian students at Cuban universities. The President also expressed his thanks to the Cuban government for its support of the Maldives in the election for the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Presidency. The Ambassador reaffirmed Cuba's commitment to remaining a friend and partner to the Maldives.
