Coral Restoration Project Kick Starts At B.Fulhadhoo

Along with a number of institutes, Maldives Coral Institute in association with MarsGlobal starts a coral restoration project at Fulhadhoo Island.

When the harbor development project in Fulhadhoo island took place, it left a number of damages done to the corals that surrounded the delicate reef. In order to restore the island's coral life, the NGOs took it upon their hands to help restore the corals in association with a couple of volunteers.

Initiated by Maldives Coral in association with MarsGlobal, they were joined by teams from The Maldives National University, Baa Fulhadhoo School, Island Council, Save-The-Beach Maldives, Fehurihi Dive, and the island community.

The locals gave a warm welcome to the teams and hope the restoration project is a future success.
