Check If You’re Eligible For The Pfizer Vaccines!

Through the Covax facility, the United States provided 128,600 doses of Pfizer vaccines to the Maldives. The administration of the vaccines will be commenced on August 15, 2021.  

Pfizer vaccines would be administered to the people who are eligible; 

  • Children between the age of 12 to 17 
  • People with weak immune system 
  • Pregnant woman; 

       - Those who have not received their first dose 
       - Those who received their first dose of vaccination as Pfizer or Astrazeneca 

  • Those who received Covishield or Sinopharm as the first dose and experienced major side effects, after the approval from A.E.F.I committee. 


    • The following would be considered as people with weak immune system; 

    1. People who have changed a body organ 
    2. People who have medicines such as Immunosuppressants and others 
    3. People who do dialysis on a regular basis 
    4. Cancer patients 


    Effective on August 15, 2021 vaccines would be available from hulhumale’ hospital from 9am to 4pm and Islaamee Marukaz from 1pm to 4pm. Vaccinations in villimale’ will be commenced on August 16, 2021 from 1pm to 4pm in Villimale’ youth centre.
