The First Two Paralympians From The Maldives Meets VP

Vice President Faisal Naseem has met with the first two Paralympians from the Maldives to represent our nation in the Tokyo2020 Paralympic Games. The meeting was held on August 12, 2021. 
 
The Maldives Paralympic Committee was formed with the goal of making it easier for ambitious athletes to represent all Maldivians' ambitions in international sports arenas. 
 
At the meeting, the Maldives Paralympic delegation and the Maldives Paralympic Committee accompanied the two Paralympians, Mohamed Mazin and Fathimath Ibrahim. The two Paralympians will compete in the 100-meter sprint at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. 
 
The athletes expressed their thanks to the Vice President for his support and to the government for empowering and nurturing greater possibilities for para-athletes. The Vice President of the Maldives Paralympic Committee, Ahmed Mahloof, emphasized the importance of the Minister of Youth, Sports, and Community Empowerment in facilitating participation in the Paralympic Games. 
 
Vice President Faisal Naseem praised the athletes' determination and commitment while congratulating them. He wished them well at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
