President Convenes The National Security Council at the President’s Office

President, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih convened the National Security Centre on August 12, 2021 at the President’s Office. 
 
 The conference focused on the May 6 terror assault on President Mohamed Nasheed, the Speaker of Parliament and former President, and the following Inquiry Report produced by the Parliamentary Committee on National Security Services.  
 
The President and the NSC addressed the report's urgent, short-term, and long-term recommendations. They mentioned that 38 of the report's recommendations are in the process of being implemented. The details of how to begin and implement the remaining recommendations provided in the 241 Committee Inquiry Report were reviewed by President Solih and the Council members.
