President Presented with Credentials by 3 Newly Appointed Foreign Envoys

Yesterday, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih was presented credentials by 3 newly appointed foreign envoys designated to the Maldives. They are His Excellency Federico Salas Lofte, Ambassador of the United Mexican States to Maldives; His Excellency Mr Holger Lothar Seubert, Ambassador-Designate of the Republic of Germany to Maldives; and Her Excellency, Jacqueline Mukangira, High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda to Maldives. 
 
The events were individually held at the President’s Office. Following each presentation, President Solih congratulated the appointee for the commencement of their terms and discussed mutual areas of cooperation. He also expressed his hopes for the bilateral relations with the respective countries strengthening over the years to come, and confided the full support of the Maldivian government in the endeavor.  

 
During their discussion, President Solih and High Commissioner Mukangira exchanged courtesies for the support and win of Maldives during the 76th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) elections, in June earlier this year.  

 
In call with Ambassador Seubert, President Solih was assured of commitment to ensuring that the positive trajectory of relations between Maldives and Germany will remain intact and flourish further during his tenure. 

 
Ambassador Lofte discussed the growing potential in the tourism industry between Maldives and Mexico in detail with President Solih, and stated that Mexicans are eager to visit the Maldives. Their discussions also included engaging in the upcoming COP26 Glasgow to identify mutually beneficial solutions to climate change and other environmental crises.
