Dhiraagu Apprenticeship Program is a structured educational training program offered to enthusiastic youth under the company’s CSR initiatives. The inclusions of the program are carefully sleected to develop a skillset for the participants that will both familiarize them to the corporate working environment and enhance their delivery.
The 12th batch consisting of 14 participants have been welcomed into this year’s program by Dhiraagu today. Participation was opened for youth aged 18-30 to enroll for an apprenticeship opportunity in Male city, Addu, Thinadhoo, Ari, and Eudhafushi Operation Centers of Dhiraagu.
An orientation session for all joinees took place in the presence of CEO and Managing Director of Dhiraagu, Mr. Ismail Rasheed. He welcomes the new apprentices to an exciting program ahead, and expressed his hopes for it being fruitful for them in their future endeavours.
A number of topics including organisations basics, brand orientation & CSR, code of ethics, digital transformation, health and safety awareness session among others will be briefed to the participants during the week. As part of the program, the apprentices will have the opportunity to participate, gain experience and training in various fields in Dhiraagu such as Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Finance, Networks, Business Solutions and Information Systems.
Dhiraagu continued the program virtually during the unprecedented pandemic in 2020, having overcome the challenge gracefully. Trainings were conducted by in-house staff specialists on soft skills development, remote working and essential knowledge in areas such as time management, personal management, project planning, presentation skills, and more. Through this program, Dhiraagu continues to enrich the lives of the youth and develop future leaders.
Dhiraagu celebrates having graduated 214 apprentices in the past 12 years of conducting the program. It is a pleasure for the company to see them serving in high ranking positions in Dhiraagu and other corporate entities as well.
