Seven Police Officers From Maldives Completes IPS Program In India

Since 1998, India has given out opportunities to police officers from Maldives to train from Indian Police Services (IPS) training program. This program trains police officers in various subjects including detective work, forensic science, criminology and many more that includes in the policing. 
 
Like every other year, seven police officers from Maldives completed the training in the 71st and 72nd IPS Training Course this year. The graduating ceremony was held at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in Hyderabad. One of the fellow Maldivian graduates, Sub Inspector, Mohamed Nazim achieved trophies for Un-armed Combat and for Rock Climbing. 
 
The High Commission of India in Maldives congratulated the graduates in a tweet and wished them for a bright and illustrious career ahead. The graduates today are the second batches of police officers who got the opportunity to complete phase 2 of the training. As we speak, the 73rd batch of IPS training that includes four Maldivian police officers are being trained.
