TTH celebrated a great achievement with the completion of the very successful first Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Mesh Repair procedure.  

In the Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Mesh Repair procedure, the mesh is placed over the defect to reinforce the stomach wall and the tools needed to repair the hernia are inserted through a small incision in the lower stomach. A thin lighted scope is inserted through a small keyhole incision. 

Laparoscopic Inguinal Herniorrhaphy (LIHR) gives a lot of benefits to the patient. It decreases the amount of discomfort the patient experiences and the recovery time is greatly reduced compared to other procedures targeting hernia. This procedure treats the occurring hernia whilst simultaneously decreases the recurrence.
