The main objective of this internship is the on-the-job experience from a number of business units, departments and branches in BML. This opportunity will allow the interns to gain a ton of experience and help develop skills for the future financial endeavors along with the help of a mentor.

The interns will also receive the opportunity to earn through their program. Upon completion of the program, the interns will be given the choice to apply to the Bank of Maldives for a full-time employment.

Since launching in 2018, this program has had 30 interns enrolled, 14 of them were given permanent positions in the Bank. Delighted to welcome the new interns, BML’s People and Change Director, Sahar Waheed highlighted the important banking knowledge that will be taught through this program. She also mentioned the development of the professional competence the interns would gain.
