AA.Bodufolhudhoo Gets A Designated Fish Cutting Station

AA.Bodufolhudhoo is locally known as the fishermen’s one-stop. This island is famous for their fishing community. As mentioned by the President of Revolutionary Bodufolhudhoo Generation (RBG), Ibrahim Naseem, even neighboring islands make a one-stop here to sell their frozen and fresh fish too. However, there was not a designated fish cutting area in this island. The fishermen used to cut their fish on the harbor where designated waste disposal was available.

To cure this problem, RBG initiated with the Bank of Maldives through their “Aharenge Bank Community Fund” to build a designated fish cutting area for the locals and the fishermen from and nearby islands. Equipped with 8 cutting stations, this area will be open day and night for the fishermen and the locals. Fresh water will be available along with waste stations.

Ibrahim humbly thanks the bank of Maldives and the other sponsors for providing a solution for the community.
