PCR Tests Done No Longer Than 96 Hours To Be Accepted By Maldives Immigration

Tourism is one of the most important sectors in the Maldives. After the COVID19 was hit, this was the sector that was the most affected as the country had to come to a halt. However, with the vaccinations being born and the world working together to completely get rid of this virus, it is safe to say that mother earth is slowly starting to function again.

However, safety will always come first no matter what sector we all work in. As part of keeping our country safe, Maldives Immigration has announced that all inbound travelers entering Maldives, should have a negative PCR test that is no longer than 96 hours before departure from the first port of embarkation. This rule is applicable irrelevant of nationality and entry requirement.

All the travelers including those who have gotten two dosages of vaccinations, must have the negative PCR test as well. Children below one year old are exempt from the requirement of the PCR test. Some categories of travelers were revised to provide a negative PCR of 72 hours window. However, Maldives Immigration has voided this revision.

Safe Travelling Everyone!
