Special Envoy Shares Confidence in Terror Attack Investigation to President

In a meeting held at the President’s Office on Sunday, President elect Special Envoy to the Maldivian Government to oversee the May 6 Terror Attack, Mr. Abbas Faiz shares progress of the inquiry with President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih. The heinous attack was targeted on former President, Mohamed Nasheed. 
 
Mr. Faiz was appointed to the post on May 19, and was entrusted with the task to maintain integrity of the investigation until justice is served. The government prioritizes this as a token for public confidence in the process as well. 
 
In his capacity, Mr. Faiz was delegated to monitor the investigation, prosecution and trial process of the terror attack. Thus far, he is confident in the inquiry as shared with the President during this meeting. Iin return, President Solih requested Mr. Faiz to ensure that at every stage, best practice is duly followed.
