President’s Special Envoy meets Defense Minister Mariya

Special appointee by the President, Abbas Faiz meets with Defense Minister Mariya to discuss about the recent terrorist attack on the President of Parliament, Mohamed Nasheedh. 

In his capacity with the position, Abbas Faiz is delegated to participate in all the investigations held on the attack. President's office has stated that until justice is served, Abbas would carry out all the tasks needed and also write reports on it.  

An enquiry report based on the terrorism attack aimed at President Nasheed was released after analyzing the security breech. The report indicates that starting from the election days. 
 
The Prosecutor General will set the parameters of Mr. Faiz’s oversight of the ongoing investigation. The appointment was a necessary decision by President Solih to ensure public confidence in the integrity of these processes. During the scope of his work as the Special Envoy, Mr. Faiz will be stationed at the President’s Office where all support and administrative assistance will be provided for the process.
