MTCC Takes Over All Transportation Services Provided by MPL

On Thursday, July 1st 2021, a ceremony was held outside of Greater Male’ Bus Terminal. In this ceremony a business contract of 50 years was signed between MTCC, MPL and the government. CEO of MTCC, Adam Azim and CEO of MPL, Shahid Ali participated in this ceremony. This agreement states that MTCC will be taking over all the transport operations that was previously given by MPL.  
 
With this agreement in place, all 282 employees that worked for Transportation in MPL will now be transferred under MTCC. 35 Buses, 5 Speedboats & 2 Dhonis will also be changed. Hence, sea transportation in Zone 6 (Addu & Fuvamuhlah) and bus transportations in Male’, Hulhule’ & Hulhumale’ will be changed to MTCC. This marks MTCC as the biggest provider of transportation in the Maldives. 
 
A meeting was also held yesterday for the new joinees under MTCC operations. They were welcomed to the team and greeted by Adam Azim.
