In an official ceremony held at the Ministry of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure on Wednesday, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company has been assigned the H.A. Hoarafushi Airport Coastal Protection Plan project. The ceremony was graced by the participation of MP of Hoarafushi Consulate, Ahmed Saleem.
The agreement was signed by CEO, Adam Azim on behalf of MTCC and Director Heneral, Fathimath Shaana Farooq from MNPHI.
The project is valued at MVR 90.5 million and the scope of work include construction of a 2,861m quay wall on both sides of the runway and construction of a concrete culvert on the causeway which connects from Hoarafushi to the Airport. A duration of 360 days was allocation for the completion of the project.
