Education Ministry Hands Over Renovation and Construction of Schools to 2 Companies

In its efforts of enhancing and expanding education throughout the Maldives, Ministry of Education has contracted two companies for significant projects in Th. Burunee and Hulhumale Phase 2. Agreement signing ceremonies were held at the Ministry yesterday.  

 
Rasheed Carpentry and Construction Pvt Ltd (RCC) was assigned to design and construct a school facility in Hulhumale Phase 2. The project is carried out under the Contractor Financing facility on an E.P.C. Turnkey basis, allowing refinancing within 5 years. A duration of 18 months was allocated for the project. Financial value of the complete project sums up at MVR 243,119,269.20.  

 
Mims Construction Pvt Ltd was awarded the project of renovating 6 classrooms in Th. Burunee School. The project worth MVR 5,834,841.27 is to be completed within 360 days.
