The session was focused on technical rescue & firefighting on high rise buildings. New firefighters were trained to drive and operate the turntable ladder used in extinguishing fires in tall buildings. During the training, Chief of Defence Force, Major General Abdula Shamaal was in attendance, monitoring the exercise.

Given the layout of Male and the frequent fire incidents, it is important to continually keep firefighters on alert and familiarize them with the latest technologies implemented in the service.
