Need Banking Services? Get Them Online!

From today until July 1, 2021, Bank of Maldives branches will remain closed following the banking hours announced by the Maldives Monetary Authority. However, all essential services will continue on the respective online platforms, such as processing requests for international transfers and payroll processing via email, and processing of BML cheques deposited at ATMs.   
 
Cut-off times for the services are as below: 

For international transfers (TTs), customers can submit requests through internet banking or email the completed TT Application Form with the relevant supporting documents, eg invoice, to InternationalTransfers@bml.com.mv. Customers are encouraged to use internet banking for TTs to avoid issues and processing delays. TT/LCs received by 11 a.m. will be processed on the same day. 

Payroll requests will be accepted via email. Details of the documents required are available on our website https://www.bankofmaldives.com.mv/business/banking- services/payroll-service.  Requests to BML accounts received by 12 p.m. will be processed on the same day. Requests to other bank accounts will be processed on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, if received by 11 a.m. 

BML cheques deposited to ATMs before 12pm will be processed on the same day on all weekdays. In line with MMA’s banking days, all clearing cheques deposited to ATMs before 10 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday will be presented for clearing on same day. 

Requests will be processed on each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday throughout the period - ACH requests received through internet banking by 11 a.m. will be processed on the same day; RTGS (transfers above MVR100,000) requests received through internet banking by 11 a.m. will be processed on the same day; MRTGS requests received by email by 11 a.m. will be processed on the same day. Please email completed and signed forms to mirapayments@bml.com.mv. If requests are received after the cut-off times, these will be processed on the next working day. 
 
Even though the branches remain closed, customers can make online appointments at the Customer Service Centre and Hulhumale’ Branch for card collection services. Slots can be booked on the QueueBee app and all customers visiting are requested to follow strict HPA rules and bring their own pens.  
Customer Service Centre – Sunday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
Hulhumale’ Branch – Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
 
Customers who require to visit the ATM for cash withdrawal and deposits are advised to obtain all necessary permits to go outside and maintain safety while using the service. The daily deposit limit is MVR 100,000 for individuals and MVR 500,000 for businesses.
