Speaker of Parliament, Mohamed Nasheed Meets President of German Bundestag

Ex-President and current Speaker of Parliament at People’s Majlis, Mohamed Nasheed has met with the President of the German Bundestag, Mr. Wolfgang Schäuble in an official meeting held last Thursday. 
 
The brief discussion between the two discussed the technical assistance provided by the Max Planck Foundation for International Peace and the Rule of Law to the Members of the People's Majlis. Speaker Nasheed further expressed gratitude on behalf of the Maldivian Government to the German Government for the continued goodwill and support to the island nation.  
 
Speaker Nasheed is currently residing in Germany for monitored recovery from the heinous terror attacks on him in early May.
