Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) announced via twitter this Sunday that they have remodeled their existing mobile application ‘Viya’ whereas this new version can now be downloadable to both iOS and Android users.
‘Viya’ application was initially launched in 2015, as a guide to the Maldivian economy featuring the latest updates on multiple sectors of the economy accompanied by more than 400 statistical series. At that time, the application was designed to also be accessible for desktop users and included an interactive guide outlining the basic and security features of the ‘Ran Dhihafaheh’ banknote series which was released on the same year.
The new version of the application consists of a major data series of over 600 to explore on along with access to a library comprising of more than 300 publications. Updates to both of these will be instantly notified. Users also have the discretion to create a watch-list for their preferred areas of interest through the application.
Maldives Monetary Authority is the central bank of Maldives (MMA) was established in 1981 and is the main regulating body of the financial sector of the country. The Maldivian economy is currently beginning to recover from the impacts of the coronavirus global pandemic.
