HDC Invites Awardees to the Hiyaa Flat Open House

A total of 6720 flats under the Hiyaa Housing Project were awarded to those selected under different categories. Following the near completion of the flats, Housing Development Corporation has been carrying out raffle draws to assign respective apartments to the awardees.

As many have been requesting to see the flats before signing the agreement so that they will have a clear picture of how much finishing and renovation work will be needed to prepare the flat to move in to, HDC has announced that they will be allowing all awardees to visit the site from June 26 to July 4, 2021. Those who are unable to visit to the open house will not be given alternate options for the service.

The process has been scheduled as follows:
Saturday, June 26, 2021: Tower H13 and H14
Sunday, June 27, 2021: Tower H9 and H10
Monday, June 28, 2021: Tower H15 and H16
Tuesday. June 29, 2021: Tower H3 and H4
Wednesday, June 30, 2021: Tower H11 and H12
Thursday, July 1, 2021: Tower H1 and H2
Saturday, July 3, 2021: Tower H5 and H6

Visitors are divided into 4 floor-based sessions as follows:
Floors 1 – 7: 8 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.
Floors 8 – 14: 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Floors 15 – 19: 1 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.
Floors 20 to 24: 2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

A maximum of 2 people will be allowed to tour an apartment and the attendees must present the identity cards upon visiting. If the owner of the apartment is unable to visit, a clear picture of their identity card must be presented by those who are attending the tour. All entries will be registered and signed for in a book of attendance.

Considering the volume of the project and the open house activity, HDC has hired interns to accompany the staff for the smooth functioning during the selected days. Therefore, HDC cautions awardees that any question they might have may not be formally attended to during the visit. However, all doubts can relevant information will be cleared and exchanged during the agreement signing sessions which will be announced next month.

HDC has noted that Phase 2 in Hulhumale is a heavy construction area and work is currently ongoing at the Hiyaa Flat as well hence, it is advised not to bring elderly and children to the site while visiting. Moreover, visitors must take individual responsibility to maintain safe distances in case of crowding and to wear mask as all times. Also, remember to bring your own pen to complete the entry formalities. Below is a roadmap published by HDC to help in the wayfinding to the flat area.
