Villa College Adds 4 New Engineering Programs to Their Program Portfolio

A special virtual ceremony was livestreamed by Villa College on their social media platforms to introduce Engineering Programs for the first time by the college. It was launched by the Vice President of Maldives, Honorable Mr. Faisal Naseem who highlighted the country’s dire need of local technical level workers. Also delivering remarks at the ceremony, Minister of Communications, Science and Technology, Mr. Mohamed Maleeh underlined the importance of such a program in the country at this present situation as local students abroad are facing numerous challenges due to the impact of the ongoing global pandemic.

At the introduction of Engineering Programs, the College is set to commence teaching for 4 new programs starting from January 2021; Foundation in Engineering, Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Honours), Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering (Honours). Villa College guarantees that graduates from these programs will have the skills and competencies necessary for the 4th Industrial Revolution instilled in them.
