Hiyaa Flat Draft Agreement Published on HDC Website, Raffle Draw for Unit Allocation Resumes

Housing Development Corporation has been responsible for handling the administrative work behind allocating units for individual tenants at the 6720 Hiyaa Flats. In this regard, the corporation was conducting raffle draws since April this year. 
 
However, it was discontinued due to the sudden rise in Covid cases in the region. Once again, HDC has announced that the raffle draw sessions will resume starting June 21, 2021. Similar as before, the sessions will be carried out with minimal participation of the public and the draws will continue according to ID Card numbers arrangements.  
 
Below are the categories for which raffle draws will be conducted: 

1. H10 – Special needs people category 
2. Civil servants category 
3. H6 Single parent category 
4. H7 Married couples between the age of 18 – 40 
5. H8 Male’ residents category 
6. H9 Residents of the Male’ Municipality Registry 
7. Maldives Police Service category 

 
Along the continued works, HDC has also announced that the draft agreement for the flats has been uploaded in the company’s website. Considering the volume of the project, this is a more efficient means of communicating the document with the public rather than reaching everyone individually given the ongoing situation in the Maldives. HDC said that since the shared document is a draft, possible changes are expected to be brought about if required.
