Covid19 Vaccine AstraZeneca Approved for Emergency Administration in the Maldives

Produced by the AstraZeneca, the Covid19 Vaccine AstraZeneca is approved by World Health Organization for use on the Emergency Use Listing. Globally, it has received approval from 115 countries and is being administered as a curbing measure against the Covid19 vaccine. 
 
On July 20, 2021, the Maldives Food and Drug Authority released approval for the AstraZeneca vaccine as the 7th vaccine that can be used in the Maldives against Covid19. Given the pandemic situation in the country, the vaccine can be administered according to the ‘Restricted use in emergency situation’ guidelines. All necessary documentation and technical research were also conducted prior to giving permission.  
 
AstraZeneca is authorized to be used for people over the age of 18. MFDA, Ministry of Health, and the Health Protection Agency will be strictly monitoring the import, storage, usage, and effect related matters with the vaccines. AstraZeneca has a storage temperature window between 2 – 8 degree Celsius.  
 
As with all vaccines, those who receive the jab should take note of the possible side-effects of administering the dosages.
