Opportunity to Contribute Your Opinions to the Land Use Plan of Male’ City

A dedicated portal have been created on the Male Coty Council website for the enthusiastic public to contribute their opinions to the Land Use Plan of Male’ City. This is an additional means to submit suggestions outside the meetings conducted by the council which are also open for public participation.  
 
Further, opinions can be emailed to the council’s official email secretariat@malecity.gov.mv or sent in written to the office. The opportunity will expire on July 4, 2021.  
 
Under the new Decentralization Act, local councils have the authority to formulate land-use plans with input from residents, and design development projects accordingly. Government ministries are tasked with assisting the local councils to implement the plans.
