New Curfew Measures Announced from Today Until End of This Month

The following changes have been made to the restrictive measures that were announced in the Greater Male Region. The new measures are to be followed starting today until June 30, 2021.  
 
Curfew Hours 
Restriction of movement of people and vehicles between 4 p.m. and 4 a.m.  

Mosques Open for Individual Prayers 
Mosques are opened but congregated prayers will not be allowed. Individuals are advices to wear mask at all times and maintain a 3-feet distance from others. They must also carry their own prayer mats and not immediately leave the mosque after prayer. 

Outdoor Exercise Hours 
Those who wish to exercise outside are allowed to do so individually between 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. in the morning. No mass gatherings are allowed and sports and activities carried out in closed spaces are also halted. Gyms will remain closed.  

Salons and Barber Shops 
Salons and barber shops who attain a special permit to open for service can operate between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. HPA rules and regulations must be followed strictly and it is advised to offer services on an appointment basis.  

Construction Works 
Certain works of construction are allowed in this duration with special permit from the City Council or HDC. Only registered staff of the construction companies who have facilities allocated for them to stay and travel to and from the site without making any contact with the public will be allowed to carry on their operations.
