Bank of Maldives have announced the closure of their branches and services for an additional week, in reference to the measures implemented by the Health Protection Agency to curb the virus spread in the Greater Male’ Region. The new timings will be followed from June 13 to 17, 2021.
Even though branches will be closed for the week, card collection services will continue at the Customer Service Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays. Hulhumale’ Branch will also be open on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10am – 2pm for card collection.
In order to ensure that customers are supported during this time, all essential services of the bank will be provided online on weekdays. his includes processing requests for international transfers and payroll processing via email, and processing of BML cheques deposited at ATMs. However, Local bank transfers via ACH, RTGS and clearing of other bank cheques will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in line with MMA’s operational changes.
Should customers require to use ATMs for cash withdrawal and deposits, a daily deposit limit is MVR 100,000 for individuals and MVR 500,000 for businesses are allowed. BML urges customers to ensure they have permit from authorities for movement outside when opting to visit the ATMs.
