Two very talented players from the Maldives have been selected to take part in the FIDE Chessable Academy. They are Mariyam Mishka Migdad and Yoosuf Waseem Ahmed from the Under-14 team.

In 2021, the program will run from June to December and will provide a minimum of two hours online every two weeks. At least the top 12 participants will be selected to attend one or more training camps by legendary players.

During this period, player performance will be closely monitored and guided through, enhancing their tactics and game. Taking part in this educational program will lead to multiple opportunities opening up for the players in the future.
