STO Construction to Introduce ‘Green Concrete’ in September

Conventional concrete is commonly made-up of combination of natural resources such as sand, stone and water. At a time when one of the world’s biggest concern is that of waste pollution challenging a sustainable future, different industries have been exploring mediums to replace everyday materials with upcycled ones. In this regard, ‘Green Concrete’ is made-up of at least one recycled waste material as a core component.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, STO Construction has revealed that this September, it is looking to introduce ‘Green Concrete’ to its portfolio of environment-friendly construction material already being supplied to the Maldivian market. The ready-mix concrete supply vehicles in operation will be used to deliver ‘Green Concrete’ as well.

STO states that this type of concrete will reduce the Carbon dioxide emission by 30%.
