Save Planet Earth is a worldwide program to confiscating carbon through accelerated afforestation and reforestation initiatives. Yesterday, Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC) announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Save Planet Earth for the collaboration as a corporate partner of ARC under ARC’s Corporate Ambassadorship Programme at supporter level.
Timed with the occasion of World Environment Day celebrated yesterday, the partnership will promote initiatives relating to the decade-long initiative launched by UN themed Ecosystem Restoration. This can take many forms, from growing trees, greening cities, rewilding gardens, changing diets or cleaning up beaches and oceans.
An exciting tree plantation drive is underway as one of the first initiatives to be carried out through the partnership. ARC and Save Planet Earth will be planting seedlings in inhabited islands across the Maldives, promoting the reversal of the negative impacts of climate change, which is already being felt across the Maldives and is negatively impacting the rights of the child in the Maldives.
ARC looks forward to working with Save Planet Earth as a corporate partner and hopes to establish more beneficial projects that would lessen the detriments of climate change.
