As per the announcement made by MMA regarding banking hours for the upcoming two weeks, Bank of Maldives has made changes to their services accordingly.
For the period from May 27 to June 10, 2021, all and service centres will be closed. This includes the Customer Service Centre. Those who have permission from authorities can continue to use ATMs for cash withdrawal and deposits. The daily deposit limit is MVR 100,000 for individuals and MVR 500,000 for businesses.
Even though physical banking will be closed, all essential services will be provided online on all weekdays. This includes processing requests for international transfers and payroll processing via email, and processing of BML cheques deposited at ATMs. Services such as Local bank transfers via ACH, RTGS and clearing of other bank cheques will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in line with MMA’s operational changes.
Details and cut-off timings for the services are as follows:
International Transfers
Customers can submit their request for TTs through internet banking or email the completed TT Application Form with the relevant supporting documents to InternationalTransfers@bml.com.mv. TT/LCs received by 11am will be processed on the same day.
Payroll Processing
Email payroll requests to payroll@bml.com.mv with all completed documents.
Cheque Processing for ATM Cheques
All BML Cheques deposited on weekdays before 12 p.m. will be processed on the same day. In line with MMA’s banking days, all clearing cheques deposited to ATMs before 10am on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday will be presented for clearing on same day.
Local Bank Transfers
Requests will be processed on each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday throughout the period:
Please take note that all requests submitted after the cut-off times will be processed in the next working day. As a measure of safeguarding both staff and customers, BML advocates and encourages the use of their online banking services for every day banking.
