Addu Equatorial Hospital Brings Changes to Health Center Operations Amid Community Spread in the City

 Amid the worsening community spread, Addu Equatorial Hospital has announced several changes to its operations in the healthcare centers in Maradhoo and Feydhoo effective today. They are as follows: 

Maradhoo Health Center will now operate as a Flu Clinic. Citizens of Maradhoo, Feydhoo and MaradhooFeydhoo who develop covid symptoms are requested to visit this Flu Clinic which will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Saturday to Thursday. On Fridays, the clinic will operate between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. The Flu Clinic can be contacted via phone on 689 0608.  

Feydhoo Health Center will continue OPD operations for non-flu cases from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m./ every day. Those who are consulting for non-flu like symptoms are requested to visit the Feydhoo Health Center. First-time consultations will be carried online. Any clarifications can be done on phone via 793 8582 and 689 2021.  

Islanders of Maradhoo and MaradhooFeydhoo who wish to administer covid vaccines and vaccination of children can visit MaradhooFeydhoo Southern Child Development Center. Islanders of Feydhoo can avail the same services from Feydhoo Health Center.

The hospital urges public to take all precautionary measures and necessary permits while visiting the health centers and the flu clinic.  

According to the latest statistics, 238 cases of Covid19 have been reported from Addu city as of yesterday. Currently, 190 cases are active and being treated while the direct contacts across the city has risen up to 561. 4 patients, including one from Fuvahmulah city are hospitalized. Unfortunately, the city has lost two lives to the virus in the past two days.
