Minato City International Cultural Exhibition: “Hello” Unites the World

Minato city is a special ward situated at Tokyo formed in 1947. People of Minato City have always expressed a strong desire for world peace. As a notion of that, Minato City International Cultural Exhibition: “Hello” Unites the World was held as part of the events held in relation to the celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the city. 

The event was organized in collaboration with 15 embassies based in the city. A representative from each embassy is captured saying “Hello” in their language in a video snippet. Maldives is one of the countries that took part in the exhibition.

Pictures were displayed by each country participating in the event entailing information and stories of their culture, traditions and heritage and architectural monuments. Maldives showcased pictures of our traditional dances, Eid celebratory traditions like Maali Hingun, Bodumas Beynun etc, heritage sites like the Old Friday Mosque and many more accompanied by brief writings explaining the pictures.

The exhibition started on October 5th and will continue till October 8th

Recently, Minister of Tourism, his excellency, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom and Ambassador to Maldives from Japan, Ms. Keiko Yanai held a meeting to discuss collaborations in respective of travel and tourism between the countries.
