Patients of Covid19 Can Now Get Treated at the Newly-Established Day Treatment Unit at ADK Hospital

In the midst of the most distressing Covid surge that hit the Maldives, ADK Hospital has revamped its services to provide extra care for those who are testing positive for Covid19. As almost all allocated beds for Covid patients are full at the facilities, many are being quarantined at home until they get better. With the establishment of the Covid19 Day Treatment Unit at the Dr. Pandian Wing of ADK Hospital, patients can now visit the unit for treatments and consultations.

Services made available at the unit are:

  1. Medical assessment for stable high-risk individuals.
  2. Blood transfusions for Thalassemic patients and those who require the service.
  3. Care for pregnant women including FHS and NST.
  4. Wound care and minor trauma management.
  5. Prescribed investigations such as blood tests, ECG, etc.

Since the unit is not an admission facility for Covid treatment, only short stay services will be provided for patients.

Those who wish to visit the unit must make a booking prior to arrival by calling +960 330 0335. Service will be provided from Saturday to Thursday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The unit will be closed on Fridays and public holidays.

ADK has also revised the operating hours of its Walk-In Flu Clinic, which will be open from Saturday to Thursday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., and on Fridays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

All visitors are advised for follow health guidelines at all times and remain vigilant in curbing the spread of the virus.
