Last Day of National Awards 2021 Nominations Decided as May 27

The Nation Awards is a formal recognition of the efforts of Maldivian citizens, local establishments and businesses who have contributed in a significant manner for the benefit of the large. The Government of the Maldives will take into account contributions in 33 different categories for the awards this year.  

This year also, the Award ceremony will be held in the pipeline of the year. A statement by the President’s Office has stated yes May 27 will be the final deadline for submitting nominations. Accepting submissions will close by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2021. 
 
Similar to previous years, government offices, independent institutions, companies, associations, and individuals may propose nominees for the awards by submitting the designated nomination forms. Completed nomination forms are to be sent in a letter addressed to the National Awards committee at the President’s Office. It can also be emailed to info@po.gov.mv. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the President’s Office’s website.  

Starting today, completed forms will be accepted from the President’s Office reception starting today, on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Completed nomination forms, including all necessary documentation, are to be sent in a letter addressed to the National Awards committee at the President’s Office. It can also be emailed to info@po.gov.mv. Nomination forms can be downloaded from the President’s Office’s website.
