MIRA Counters Will Remain Closed until May 22, Online Services Available

Government offices in the Maldives were directed to remain closed until May 22, 2021 by President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih last week. In accordance, Maldives Inland Revenue Authority has urged the public to avail its online services for the payment of taxes and fees due in the duration.  

Additional services of MIRA are also facilitated online. The hotline 1415 will operate during official hours alongside queries being answered via MIRA Viber number +960 9821415.  

Further, MIRA has also extended the duration of April 2021 Tax statements and payments due on May 16th to May 17th. This was in regard to the MMA announcement of banking services to not being provided on Sunday, May 16 of this week.  

The taxes applicable under this extension are as follows: 

  • Non-resident Withholding Tax 
  • Employee Withholding Tax 
  • Airport tax and fee 


MIRA reminds public to pay all dues before deadlines since facilitations have been made accordingly to accommodate MRTGS services.
