Generous Contributions Reach Over 1800 Vulnerable Families via ARC AID

Advocating the Rights of Children (ARC), launched their ARC AID special program in order to facilitate means to provide basic food supplies to children in families affected adversely by the Covid19 Pandemic in the Maldives.

In the duration since the first restrictive measures were imposed last year, ARC has noted that numerous families have been affected severely by the subsequent socio-economic impacts of the pandemic. ARC AID, in partnership with government authorities, local councils, and other NGOs, has worked to mitigate the everyday struggles faced by vulnerable families by providing food supplies.

Spread across 58 islands, over 1800 vulnerable children and families have been reached under this initiative to date. The food packages provided include rice, flour, lentils, milk powder, tuna cans, eggs, assorted vegetables and bean cans.
