In an announcement issued yesterday, ADK Hospital has suspended visiting hospitalized patients until further notice. This measure was taken in light of the concerning surge recorded in the Greater Male Region in the past week and under necessary action to assure the safety of the hospital staff and patients.
Patients who are currently hospitalized are allowed one caretaker to be present with them at any given time. The caretaker must be someone free of any Covid19 related symptoms. Those visiting the hospital for any reason are advised to explore alternative options before physically visiting the hospital.
ADK pleas with the public to adhere to the instructions and cooperate with healthcare professionals in implementing the instructions to its full effectiveness. At a time when healthcare professionals are working around the clock to serve the nation, it is the least amount of responsible gesture expected from the public.
